I thank God that No More Victims referred me to Kids’ Meals to help with the seven grandkids I inherited. I’m so grateful to Kids’ Meals. Not only did you supply me with food and very helpful resources, you truly lifted a heavy burden from me.
--Gladys (a grandmother on a fixed income)
Ms. Ruth, I want to thank you for making my day. I just came in to see if I could get my electricity turned back on. You saw the two little kids with me and understood a separate need. You explained the
Kids’ Meals program to us, and now we are on your delivery route. When I return to work, I will remember you. You were there for me in a time of darkness. This shed a bright light.
--T. Jones
Kids’ Meals, I just wanted to send you a thank-you card for feeding all of my kids during the summer. When school is out and the teenagers, especially, are home, I spend my time performing many small jobs during the summer. What a comfort it is to know that all of my kids are being fed. Thanks for helping us out while we strive to find ways to make ends meet.
--John and Nancy
This delightful poem was mailed into the Kids' Meals office last week. Just in time for the holidays. A young Kids' Meals recipient was thoughful enough to share "heart-warming" feelings about our Executive Director, Ruth Burrell. "I wish Santa Claus could be more like Miss Ruth" - below:

I use to ask
my mamma
why
we didn't have much food.
But
I don't ask her that no more
cause
I know Miss Ruth is gonna feed us.
We love Miss Ruth
cause
she don't
come just once a year
and
she don't turn us away
cause
we ain't got nuthin
and
she don't use
our neighborhood
as an excuse
not to help us.
I wish Santa Claus could be more like Miss Ruth.
